Topic: Adding a YouTube Video

YouTube videos can be added using the "utube_video_url" custom field. They will look similar to:-

You can get this URL by clicking on the "Embed" button usually found next to or underneath the video and copy pasting the URL from there. Do not copy/paste the "?" (question mark) or anything after it.

Re: Adding a YouTube Video

I noticed that you have to use ONLY one categories when you publish video posts.

Also, in Presentation/Widgets you have to set up widget_utube_video_section and widget_utube_video_category

After doing that ... the videos appear but now another problem:

See http://gps.punctedeinteres.ro/utube-gallery/ and then click on a video http://gps.punctedeinteres.ro/utube-gal … spirit-500 ... same page allways sad

Re: Adding a YouTube Video

First, you can specify a second category in a video article if you wish and just enter a comma-separated list of categories in the "Widgets" tab field.

The problem with the two URLs you have given above is that they are both pointing to the "utube-gallery" section. This section and the one for the Vimeo gallery are specifically for the galleries.

You need to place your video articles in another section. In my demo they are in the "articles" section but you can create special sections for them if you wish. Once that is done the link to the individual video will include the section that you have attached it to so for example, if you used the "articles" section as I have done in the demo the link would point to http://gps.punctedeinteres.ro/articles/ … spirit-500

You will need to enter your section names in the "Widgets" tab.

Re: Adding a YouTube Video

You don't need "utube-gallery". You only need "articles" or whichever section you have assigned them to but if you don't want to have your videos appear on the front page you need to create a separate section for them.

Re: Adding a YouTube Video

You only need to use "override form" if you need to use some special form, usually with different HTML and tags, for a specific article. I have not created any special forms so in a default install of Headlines you should leave this blank.
